Shoul...Glad you have enjoyed some of the posts. ... Should get more than 100K this weekend for Northwestern, and 105K would be considered a big success. With Ohio State sure to bring a big contingent of fans, the Oct. 27 game vs. the Buckeyes should exceed 105K. Nov. 17 vs. Indiana could be a struggle, and the Nov. 24 finale vs. Wisconsin will hinge a lot on how well the Lions have played, and what's at stake. And of course weather always can be a big factor. ... O'Brien has been outstanding. Hard to imagine any coach doing better with everything than he has so far, and hard to think of any coach who would be preferable to O'Brien to lead PSU into the future. He's a stud, the total package. The jury is out on Roof. We'll see. My primary source of confidence in Roof is that O'Brien hired him.

Rumblings From Beaver Stadiumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11798446845979168697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4905940142732826623.post-90149026032968981552012-10-03T11:05:38.345-07:002012-10-03T11:05:38.345-07:00So glad I found this blog - the posts are exceptio...So glad I found this blog - the posts are exceptionally well-researched. I will be at the game this Saturday (10/6) and I suspect/hope we'll see an uptick in attendance with the start of Big Ten play and the improved play of late.

Much as I am grateful to Joe Paterno for all he did and as sad and upset I was at how things ended for him, I am energized by the fresh thinking brought in by this new coaching staff. It was long overdue.

As for the Pitt fan, well, I think we all recognize a troll when we see one.Joseph Haashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08154849043009343039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4905940142732826623.post-51645594248075651942012-09-25T19:41:19.017-07:002012-09-25T19:41:19.017-07:00You can fight the 2011 PSU BOT members with every ...You can fight the 2011 PSU BOT members with every fiber of your being forever, and also support Penn State football. Those people don't represent Penn State football in any way, especially after sacrificing it, and Paterno, to cover their own selfish interests. You and hundreds of thousands of others are PSU football, not them. The Paterno family has shown its support for Penn State football. The 2011 BOT members will have their day.Rumblings From Beaver Stadiumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11798446845979168697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4905940142732826623.post-49531458207463246312012-09-25T15:24:03.914-07:002012-09-25T15:24:03.914-07:00I am PSU Blue for life. I don't need to be around those types, and mine is 68" but it's not Beaver stadium. When someone with the intelligence that can own up that Joe was sacrificed for others, then maybe I'll return but I am very ANGRY. And to see what is going on daily in state college its not good for anyone. This was the media keeping everyone occupied with lies and a bunch of gutless punks, leaders. smeggy_jenkinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06738576287859359247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4905940142732826623.post-30877654164073377312012-09-25T10:55:43.608-07:002012-09-25T10:55:43.608-07:00No one ripped on Pitt. Pitt was referenced as mediocre football (not as Youngstown State's whipping boy - that would have been ripping on Pitt) and having large patches of empty seats at its games. We can debate the mediocre football part (you might have missed the semi-tongue-in-cheek intent, "gratuitous cheap shot," as Pitt obviously has some stellar football history mixed in), but there's no debate about the large patches of empty seats. Pitt attendance stinks compared to Penn State, it's half as much, those are the facts. Nice Costanza reference, BTW, jerkstore. Also, do you have any proof regarding your assertions about Pitt and Penn State fans re: Steelers season ticket holders? What are the stats on that? And, how many times a season do Pitt and the Steelers play home games on back-to-back days, maybe three, on average? I noticed this year it's just two. That's not much of an excuse. I see 41,000 showed up for Pitt's season opener - the week before the NFL season started. Through three games Pitt is averaging 41,774, despite having had a high-profile game (Va Tech) and two of the three games not being the day before a Steelers game. There's your research.Rumblings From Beaver Stadiumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11798446845979168697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4905940142732826623.post-51637682560268119742012-09-25T08:14:33.150-07:002012-09-25T08:14:33.150-07:00So let me get this straight, you are able to rip o...So let me get this straight, you are able to rip on Pitt but when someone rips on PSU, you get offended...What hypocrites you Penn State people are.

Jerkstore, Pitt attendance is affected by having the Steelers play the next day. Few PSU fans have season tickets for both Steelers and Penn State. Just like many Pitt fans have Steelers season tickets but go to a handful of Pitt games.

Do some research about schools that have NFL teams in the same city. By the way, Penn State will always be remembered for Jerry Sandusky

FOREVER 298!!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4905940142732826623.post-10868160444957140772012-09-25T07:09:31.954-07:002012-09-25T07:09:31.954-07:00I'm sure that from among the throng tailgating...I'm sure that from among the throng tailgating outside the game, a few might not be self-centered.Rumblings From Beaver Stadiumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11798446845979168697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4905940142732826623.post-27268634403295162572012-09-25T07:01:58.492-07:002012-09-25T07:01:58.492-07:00Ya know I have two degrees from Penn State and I l...Ya know I have two degrees from Penn State and I love the university. I have attended many games since earning my master's degree there in 1985. Funny thinng is, I know people who go to games, tailgate, etc., but they never invite me to stop by their tailgate, enjoy a beer with them, or step into their motorhome. Does this mean there is something wrong with me? Or does it mean that there are other things to do than swill beer with self-centered people? fitz_lionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00269418924745720429noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4905940142732826623.post-16438907433081834992012-09-25T06:21:51.953-07:002012-09-25T06:21:51.953-07:00Good analysis.Good analysis.Rebecca Wetzelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01647587709974567963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4905940142732826623.post-62164492868926289962012-09-25T05:47:17.391-07:002012-09-25T05:47:17.391-07:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
